I was still working on Christmas Eve, .

The project should be finished on Jan 21, 2007, ONLY  29 days. We must merge the branch code, and finish the compilation. Then all tests could be continued later. It’s so pivotal.

To my sorrow, the nightly build scripts, which provide by QA before, had not been tested. And Makefile is not written well. Many errors occured.  I had to correct and recompile again and again.

Let it be!

It’s a holiday. So Merry Christmas!

I choose goodness…
I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one.I will be overlooked before I will boast.I will confess before I will accuse.I choose goodness.

I choose faithfulness…
Today I will keep my promises.My debtors will not regret their trust.My associates will not question my word.My wife will not question my love.And my children will never fear that their father will not come home.

I choose gentleness…
Nothing is won by force.I choose to be gentle.If I raise my voice may it be only in praise.If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer.If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.

I choose control…
I am a spiritual being.After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal.I choose self-control.I will be drunk only by joy.I will be impassioned only by my faith.I will be influenced only God.I will be taught only by Christ.I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.To these I commit my day.If I succeed, I will give thanks.If I fail, I will seek his grace.And then, when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.
 

 

Anti’s Chinese blog is one of several blogs that I’ll read every day. It gives me some news and viewpoints, which are differnt from offical news in China.

China are often misread in the foreigner’s reports, like The Guardian’s report. Now Anti started his English blog. The blog will translate some Chinese reports into English, tell the mind Map of China. He said it would be impersonal. I belive it. So it was recommended.

I used Ocadia as the theme of my site. It’s a two column theme. But why does the homepage look like only one column? The right side bar (include pages, archives) are all at the bottom. What’s wrong?

What’s this? Who know? It’s funny. A peak pole on the hemispheroid. It’s just in the garden near my home.

We call it “日晷�in Chinese. A tool is used to get the time according the principle of Sun Shadow.

In ancient, a high pole was stood up on the ground. And people could get the time to watch the change of shadow.

Warlish, engineer of ILOG corp, gave us a traing about JRules today. A guy is worthy to make friends.

The ILOG JRules is a complete BRMS for java environment. Its engine implementation is based on RETE algorithm. Our project about settlement of telecom adopted this rule engine. I am interesting in BRMS. It seperated critical business rules from the source code, and can be managed easily. And while we changed our business rules, we need not to modify code, compile and depoly. A similar product is drools, open source.

It’s core is Rete algorithm. And for developer, the key is how to design BOM(Business Object Model). In the following two months, i’ll watch for this.

In the comment, Wesley said “try google bomb”.

What’s the mean? I was puzzled. I first googled “bomb”, got a “BOMB Magazine”, hehe.

Let’s try wikipedia. Ok, I got the answer.

“A Google bomb or Google wash is a certain attempt to influence the ranking of a given page in results returned by the Google search engine. Due to the way that Google’s PageRank algorithm works, a page will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page all use consistent anchor text. A Google bomb is created if a large number of sites link to the page in this manner.”
